MRI in the emergency rooms for the patients with chest pain- Is it a feasible option?

When the patients are feeling the chest pain, there is one thing that they might have think about-it can be a heart attack. Not every chest pain is the heart attack. When the organs from the anterior to posterior chest are counted, there are many things which lie in the way. Hence, when there is the chest pain, most of the doctors will not go for the heart attacks only, but there is the wide range to choose from. Among these organs include the esophagus, lungs, pericardium, spinal cord, aorta etc. Hence, the lesion which is causing the chest pain can lie anywhere in these organs. Therefore, unless there are certain indications, doctors are trained to rule out all the possibilities to check out if the patient is having the heart attack or not.
According to the new research done at the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical center, patients with the chest pain can be treated on the emergency basis with the use of MRI in the emergency rooms. For some people, the use of high tech facility like MRI can be cost cutting, but this will rule out the possibility for if the patient is to be admitted in the hospital for a day or two. Any type of chest pain can be treated in the hospital, and when the necessity is over, there is no requirement that the treatment of the patient has to hang from a balance. Patient can be sent home rather than admitting them and put the medical bills for the treatment which they can do by themselves at home.
According to the study published in Annals of Emergency Medicine, most of the patient that are admitted to the hospital for the cause of chest pain are being done so through the passing a day. When the patients are having chest pain, everything must be ruled out and this will make the job easier to check if the patient is having the cardiac issue or not. The initial consult for the patients are to be admittance in the hospital, however, the patients can be consulted with the doctor in the emergency room, and in this way, and the patients can go home. This will also make the room for the new and needier patient to be admitted in the hospital and being treated for the real cardiac issue.
