Rules

Eligibility Requirements

Entries must be completed works.
Entries must have been completed no earlier than June 30, 2005.
Entries must be postmarked no later than January 31, 2008.

Other

  1. Please submit works on VHS, NTSC tape or DVD Region 1 Only.
  2. Do not use fiber-padded envelopes to send videotapes - the residue ruins tapes & equipment.
  3. For confirmation that your entry was received, please include a SASE.

Entry title and name of entrant must be on all materials and containers.

Short (Anything under 45 min)
Student (Please include copy of student I.D.)

Entry Fee

Send a check or money order, in U.S. funds only, payable to "Crossroads Film Festival", in the amount of:
$45 Feature
$25 Short (45 minutes or less), Documentary, Experimental, Animation
$10 Student or Youth (Please include copy of student I.D.)
Entry fees will not be returned.
The Festival reserves the right to impose a $20 surcharge for returned checks.

If your film is selected

Filmmaker is responsible for immediately providing a press kit (including photos, synopsis, and cast and crew credits).

Filmmaker agrees that he/she will be solely responsible for the delivery of his/her film.

If the filmmaker or representatives are not in attendence, The Crossroads Film Festival will provide return shipping of the print/master tape.

Entering Tips

  1. Please submit works on VHS, NTSC tape or DVD Region 1 Only.

  4. Entry title and name of entrant must be on all materials and containers.
  5. Applicants will be notified of the Festival's decision by early March.
  6. The Festival is not responsible for cassettes not claimed after June 1.
  7. The Festival is not responsible for cassettes lost or damaged in transit.
  8. Keep a copy of your completed application for reference.
  9. There is no limit to the number of entries per entrant - separate applications and submission fees must accompany each entry.
  10. If you would like your video cassette returned, please enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope with your entry. Make sure to write the name of your film on the top left corner of the return envelope!
  11. Include a copy of the filmmaker(s)' biography/resume.
  12. Include the technical credits on the film.
  13. Include press materials, production stills, and other media/promotional items (optional)
  14. Include a photograph of filmmaker, if available.
